| Qualifications: | PRIMARY PURPOSE Provide leadership, training, and technical assistance to local education agencies for all programs and services assigned. Assist educational personnel in the Region One ESC area to enhance the performance of students. QUALIFICATIONS Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. Master’s degree, preferred. Valid Texas Teacher Certificate in area assigned. Experience: Minimum of five (5) years of teaching experience in Secondary Mathematics. Minimum of two (2) years of experience with Texas OER Instructional Materials, preferred. Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of Texas Academic Performance Report, Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills, English Language Proficiency Standards, College Career Readiness Standards. Knowledge and/or experience with HQIM (Eureka TEKS Edition, Carnegie TEKS Edition and Texas Curricular Resources). Knowledge and/or experience with mathematics RBIS. Texas Student Assessment System, and Federal accountability systems Broad based knowledge of concepts and skills in assigned area Knowledge of research on effective teaching and methodology. Knowledge of scientifically based teaching/learning practices for diverse learners Experience in curriculum development and evaluation. Ability to utilize technology for teaching, learning and communication Ability to function as a member of a team. Effective organizational and presentation skills. Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills; Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
