They are intended to be accurate reflections of those principal job elements essential for making fair hiring and pay decisions. **This position may be partially or completely funded using grant and/or federal monies and is assigned programs to include activities designed to enhance the effective and coordinated use of funds. ❖ Select, support, coach, and provide opportunities for growth to department personnel that aligns with ESC Region 11's vision. ❖ Manage the operations of the defined scope of supervisory responsibilities. ❖ Effectively guide staff and self to continually pursue and apply innovative ideas. ❖ Use the ESC Region 11 collaborative planning process to refine, improve, and strengthen programs. ❖ Ensure quality implementation and effective utilization of designated professional learning framework. ❖ Model innovative and organizational strategies that will enhance the operations and culture of the ESC Region 11. ❖ Conduct necessary crucial conversations focused on building open, honest relationships through effective communication. ❖ Collaborate with and actively participate in inter-departmental and center-wide teams to: ➢ help improve student performance in the region, ➢ to improve the ESC Region 11 internal and external operations, and ➢ to help meet the established goals and objectives of ESC Region 11. ❖ Provide professional development and technical assistance to ESC Region 11/districts/charter schools in the areas of instructional leadership, governance, operations, and finance. ❖ Develop, facilitate, and implement programs/partnerships with educational and/or non-educational organizations. ❖ Ensure staff are responsive to all stakeholders in the education community. ❖ Compile, maintain, file, and secure all reports, records, and other required documents. ❖ Assure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines. ❖ Perform other duties and activities assigned. Supervisory Duties Department personnel as assigned, up to 30 or more staff members. Equipment/Specialized Software Used Computers, projection devices, control panels in meeting rooms, printers, productivity software, software specific to the job assignment, network resources, internet resources, and other hardware and software necessary to perform the functions of the job effectively and efficiently. ESC Region 11 Human Resources 2024 EDUCATION SERVICE CENTER REGION 11 JOB DESCRIPTION Working Conditions (Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors) Mental: Public relations and people skills are always required, work with frequent interruptions, and maintain professional composure and confidentiality under stress. Physical: Occasional prolonged and irregular hours, ability to move tables and chairs and load/unload boxes and materials. Prolonged use of a computer. Environmental: Open cubicles/workstations and office setting. Evaluation Annual performance evaluation will be performed in accordance with the adopted policies of the Education Service Center Region 11. Employment in this position is contingent upon performance, need, and funding. |
