| Qualifications: | Education: Bachelor’s degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned Coaching: Valid Texas Commercial Drivers’ License (Class B CDL with School Bus (S) and Passenger (P) Endorsement Required) and CPR/First Aid Certificate Experience: At least one year of student teaching or approved internship Coaching: Four years of experience preferred as coach or participant in sport assigned Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of core academic subjects assigned General knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Coaching: General knowledge of coaching techniques and procedures and knowledge of University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules |
