| Description/Notes: | Responsible for the overall coordination of boys and girls interscholastic sports, grades 7-12. Work cooperatively with principals, coaches and other professional personnel. Improve the sports program through planning, organizing, supervising and evaluating the programs of the district. Ensure compliance with established priorities, existing policies and sound practices. Responsible for all district athletic facilities operations, improvements, and additions. |
| Qualifications: | EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university Valid Texas teacher certification preferred SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: Knowledge of TEA and University Interscholastic League (UIL) rules and policies governing co-curricular and extra-curricular programs Ability to manage budget, personnel and coordinate district functions Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills General computer skills Ability to successfully interact with students, professional employees, parents and district patrons Knowledge and experience in the management of athletic facilities and events Such additions and alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Trustees may find appropriate and acceptable EXPERIENCE: Five (5) years of successful leadership experience in athletics and/or sports activities Campus administrative experience preferred |
