| Description/Notes: | Primary Purpose: This position is for an accelerated learning lab that provides supports and accommodations for students who have needs and accommodations under Section 504. In addition, this position will serve as the case manager for the Section 504 students on the campus, track the College, Career, and Military Readiness of students on the campus, and fulfill the role of the campus testing coordinator for the various State testing programs. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society. |
| Qualifications: | Bachelor’s degree from accredited university Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned [Physical Education Teachers: Current automated external defibrillator (AED) certificate] Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of core academic subject assigned Knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Experience: One year student teaching or approved internship |
