| Description/Notes: | Athletic Director/Head Football Coach District #10-3A-D2-Football and District #14-3A Primary Purpose: Serves as head high school football coach. Directs, coordinates and manages the overall program of extracurricular athletics and facilities for the district including pre-athletics 6, athletics 7-12. Works to provide each student with opportunity to participate in an extracurricular athletic activity and ensure compliance with all state, University Interscholastic League (UIL), and local requirements. Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of overall operations of an athletic program Knowledge of state and UIL policies governing athletics Ability to implement policy and procedures Ability to interpret data Ability to manage personnel and coordinate district function Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills Growth mindset Experience: Five years successful teaching and coaching experience required. Three or more years of successful athletic director/head coaching experience (preferred) Four or more years of successful offensive and/or defensive coordinator experience in 3A or above (required) Experience at the Collegiate level (preferred) |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Valid Texas teaching certificate Master Degree from accredited college or university (preferred) Administrative Certification (preferred) Current first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), and automated external defibrillator (AED) certificate (preferred) Clear and valid Texas commercial driver’s license with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements (optional) |
