Description/Notes: Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Leading and Learning:
• Lead the curriculum development, implementation, and review process for programs
• Develop and implement a program plan for continuous improvement
• Interpret and implement local, state, and national policies which impact teaching and learning in programs
• Build capacity with educators and administrators as co-leaders of the instructional program
• Design and deliver professional learning to promote effective teaching and learning
• Assist educators and administrators in their understanding of the TEKS and or guidelines
• Designs, implements, and evaluates instructional programs and identifies appropriate instructional strategies and materials in accordance with local, state, and national standards
• Assist educators in analyzing, diagnosing and improving students’ performance in programs
• Support campus administrators as instructional leaders in the design and implementation of campus plan to improve learner performance in programs
• Lead the development of instructional design that provides relevant experiences to engage learners and encourage risk taking, flexibility, and creativity
• Support educators through professional learning related to developing and using learner-centered authentic formative and summative assessments to inform instruction and meet the needs of all learners
• Use digital technologies effectively to communicate and model technology use for learning
• Assist in the recruiting and interviewing of prospective educators
• Conduct and document classroom visits to provide feedback, reflection, support, and program evaluation
• Coordinate an evaluation and/or ordering of textbooks and related materials submitted for adoption at district and state level
• Support the identification and implementation of assessment practices and data usage, which drives instruction and provides close alignment with school improvement, standards, and district expectations
• Consult and advise on facilities planning and educational specifications. Assist in the development of equipment standards, facilitate the proper equipping of new and existing schools, supervise equipment maintenance, budgets, repair, replacements, and procedures


ESL/Bilingual
• Supervise and coordinate programs
• Interpret and propose policy
• Ensure instructional and compliance components
• Ensure professional learning opportunities for instructional and compliance components
• Complete local and state accountability reports in a timely manner
• Conduct programmatic reviews and evaluations integrating data driven decision making and research
• Maintain and utilize quality program data
• Support leads through coaching and evaluation

Student Growth and Development
• Ensure appropriate academic growth as indicated by district, state and national standards
• Ensure continuous improvement of student performance and academic growth as a result of program participation

Communication
• Articulate program plans, updates, and curriculum to appropriate stakeholders including Board of Trustees
• Articulate the district’s mission, instructional philosophy and curriculum implementation strategies
• Maintain effective communication of programs via websites and other digital mediums
• Work closely with educators, coalitions, directors, and administrators in creating an open, cooperative atmosphere for effective communication.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
• Support and coach language acquisition specialists and ESL paraprofessionals
• Provide feedback to principals as needed in support of evaluations for language acquisition specialists and ESL paraprofessionals
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
• Master’s Degree in related field
• Valid Texas Teacher Certification
• Valid Mid-management or Other Appropriate Certification
• Minimum of 3 Years Classroom Experience
• Campus Administrative Experience Preferred

Experience:
• At least three 3 years of teaching experience in a related field
• At least 3 years’ experience in an instructional leadership role
• Designing and facilitating professional learning.
Salary Range: $89,681-$121,335
