| Description/Notes: |
This position has responsibility for coordinating professional standards services, including handling of professional employee grievances, investigation of alleged employee misconduct and other professional difficulties, termination or non-renewal of employment and interpreting/administering personnel policies of the District, and training of District personnel as it pertains to employee matters, policies, rules, and regulations.
Incumbent must have a thorough working knowledge of the public education system, issues, and policies. Incumbent must have knowledge of federal, state, and local rules/regulations related to Human Resources. Mediation experience and 40- hour mediation training is preferred. Incumbent must be able to handle difficult employment issues in a highly professional and expeditious manner. Incumbent must have excellent skills in verbal, written and interpersonal communications, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and excellent skills in organizing and conducting events. This position requires knowledge and skill in the use of personal computers and their software and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel and in other computerized applications. |
| Qualifications: |
A Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university is required. A Doctor of Jurisprudence is preferred. Five (5) years of related experience working with human resource/professional standards/employee relation issues is required. Two (2) years of management experience is preferred. SHRM CP or SHRM SCP certification is preferred.
