| Description/Notes: | The Peaster ISD Board of Trustees is seeking an educational leader to serve as the Superintendent of Schools. The successful candidate must possess the following characteristics and qualifications: Possess a Texas Superintendent Certification; A professional educator with experience as a teacher and administrator with high standards with a minimum of three (3) years of administrative experience; Superintendent experience preferred; An innovative problem solver that is committed to work in partnership with the Board of Trustees, staff, students, parents, and community to build a climate of transparency, mutual trust, and cooperation with demonstrated skills in educational leadership in respect to uniting and motivating staff, parents, and community in the pursuit of student achievement; A forward-thinking individual who can develop and recommend to the Board long-range plans regarding population trends, student/community needs, staffing, and current trends in order to plan for new or renovation of existing facilities with experience dealing with school construction preferred to manage the Districts current and anticipated future growth; A respected professional educator with the ability to recruit and maintain quality staff to ensure student success; A responsible supervisor who demonstrates knowledge of school finance and budget management experienced in sound management practices, with appropriate planning and decision-making skills; A humble individual with a reputation as a thoughtful, approachable, ethical, and enthusiastic person who is involved in and visible throughout the District and community; An effective delegator with the ability to motivate staff and students, bolster morale and generate enthusiasm while still successfully establishing, delegating, and maintaining authority holding staff accountable in supervising employees at all levels including goals, evaluations, and growth utilizing the components of effective personnel policies, procedures and practices; and A trustworthy collaborator willing to organize and lead the District through consensus building among district and community stakeholders.
