Description/Notes: Primary Purpose:

To plan, develop, and oversee district server infrastructure, hosted email services, accounts and related services. Provisioning of and rostering of student and staff accounts. Maintain a seamless and secure single sign-on within the district. This position maintains and manages existing physical, logical and virtual infrastructure as well as documentation. Oversee and assist in maintaining districts network.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

Systems Management



Provides Server Administration.
Design and maintain MS Active Directory and Azure AD infrastructure, including account creation and group policy management.
Implement and maintain Google Domain Administration, including account creation.
Design and maintain VMware Virtual Machine infrastructure
Design and maintain Backup Systems.
Design and maintain NAS infrastructure.
Design and maintain Web Server infrastructure.
Setup and maintain various Student Application servers.
Design and implementation of necessary security components
Advise on the Installation of Network components.
Documentation of Server components.
Advise on the systems performance and the network issues.
Maintain security for the Servers.
Perform upgrades on system components as needed.
Implement and maintain Classlink single sign-on solutions for rostering and account provisioning.
Implement and maintain Classlink OneSync provisioning Server.
Maintain mobile device management for iPads, Chromebooks and mobile Windows devices.
Setup security profiles and application deployment.
Design and maintain filtering with Securly.
Design and maintain classroom management software with Securly.
Maintain account-based permissions.
Perform upgrades on system components as needed.
Responsible for systems integration documentation.
Training of Staff and Users as required






Policy, Reports, and Law

Implement the policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and local board policy.
Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents as required.

Physical Demands/Environment Factors:

Work is performed in an office environment; frequent on call and after-hours work; district wide travel; may be required to be on call 24 hours a day.
Regular moderate lifting and carrying (up to 44 pounds); occasional heavy lifting and carrying (45 pounds and over)
Repetitive hand motion; frequent keyboarding and use of the mouse; regular waling, grasping/squeezing; write flexion/extension, reaching; may climb ladders.
Prolonged sitting; regular kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, twisting.

Standard office equipment including personal computers and peripherals.
Qualifications: Qualifications:



Education/Certification:

Bachelor's or Associates degree in computer information systems or equivalent
experience or professional industry certifications.

Acceptable background check and fingerprinting results
Valid Texas driver's license with acceptable driving record




Special Knowledge/Skills:

Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and written).
Knowledge of Hypervisors and multiple Servers OS
Knowledge of integrated computer systems.
Knowledge of cloud and hosted solutions.
Ability to troubleshoot complex environments.
Ability to work with multiple inter-department groups to plan, resolve and document work.
General scripting knowledge (Python, Powershell, SQL, VB Scripting)
Basic knowledge of network infrastructure design and maintenance.
Knowledge of IT security.
Knowledge of secure file transfer methods.
Knowledge of LAN and WAN network design and installation.
Knowledge of network hardware and software applications including network servers, printers, and other equipment.
Salary Range: $65,395.00 - $92,182.00 / Per Year
