Primary Purpose
To coordinate programs and services for ESC Region 11 districts and Charters including transportation, school health, and safety.

Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor's degree (preferred) or minimum 10 years experience in Transportation at an Independent School District or Charter School

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Team oriented attitude and desire to work collaboratively with ESC staff campus/district/charter school personnel
Knowledge of databases, spreadsheets & word processing
Ability to use personal computer and software for data collection
Proficiency in keyboarding, spelling and punctuation
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Demonstrated success as manager of public school district transportation services
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Certified to deliver Texas school bus driver certification courses
Knowledge of the general administration processes used in public schools
Knowledge of Texas Department of Public Safety rules and regulations for Public School Transportation
Knowledge of TEA requirements for Public School Transportation
Knowledge of and familiarity with the Texas Education Code.
Strong collaboration skills
Strong project management skills
Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills

Experience:
A minimum ten years successful experience in school transportation at an isd/charter
Successful experience in developing, organizing, and maintaining Excel Spreadsheets
Successful experience in program development
Successful experience in training teachers and/or other adults
Successful experience in an educational leadership position; experience in a supervisory position preferred

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Actively participate in and/or provide leadership for inter-departmental teams to help improve student performance in the region, to improve the ESC internal operations. And to meet the established goals and objectives for the ESC
Analyze available needs assessment data from regional, state and national sources
Participate in the collaborative development of a comprehensive plan for trainings, products and services to meet regional needs
Model effective uses of technology in personal productivity and instructional applications
Provide technical assistance to campuses/districts/charter schools as needed, as well as appropriate follow-up and follow-along to trainings, products and services
Assist with registration and setup for internal workshops
Deliver/facilitate training sessions as needed with team members in the areas of school health and school safety.
Participate in designated local, state, and national professional development activities and share information with ESC staff and appropriate regional personnel
Effectively market, coordinate, and deliver school bus driver training & transportation services.
Identify, plan, develop and implement new initiatives/services for School Transportation Services.
Coordinate and supervise all aspects of school bus driver certification
Collect and accurately enter all bus driver data within timelines
Maintain a filing system of all bus driver records as required by state guidelines
Print and Distribute bus driver DPS certificate forms
Order Texas DPS certificate cards and distribute to appropriate person
Accurately process and complete requests for duplicate/replacement certification cards
Maintain records of all Texas DPS applications for school bus driver enrollment certification with the appropriate signature designee
Demonstrate effective facilitation/training/communication skills
Respond to all communication in a timely manner
Collaborate with and actively participate in inter-departmental teams to help improve student performance in the region; to improve the ESC's internal operations; and to meet established goals and objectives of the ESC.
Support collaborative planning across ESC
Conduct on-going evaluations of process of programs and services
Take minutes for state safety TETN meetings
Build, maintain and monitor accurate records including budgets
Process external billing form for each cash, check, money order and credit card payment
Create/run monthly billing report for Business Office
Process district billing for trainings provided at the district
Process purchase order/check requests and enter information in TXEIS system
Perform other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $64,778 minimum - $80,004 midpoint
