| Description/Notes: | Direct and manage maintenance and districts maintenance, transportation and custodial operations. Maintain physical school plant in a condition of operating excellence so that full educational use may be made at all times. Provide students with a physical learning environment that is safe, clean, attractive, and functional. Direct and manage districts transportation and vehicle maintenance program. Oversee maintenance of all district-owned vehicles. * Ensure safe and efficient operation of transportation department. Direct, coordinate, and monitor custodial services for all district facilities. Establish cleaning schedules and procedures to maintain a high standard of safety, cleanliness, and efficiency of building operations and grounds. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Bachelors degree preferred Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of basic principles of construction, school plant maintenance, and custodial operations Ability to direct and manage operations of a fleet of vehicles Knowledge of energy management, vehicle repair, and maintenance Knowledge of routine custodial practices and methods Knowledge of equipment, chemicals, and materials used in cleaning processes Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to implement policy and procedures Ability to read blueprints and schematics Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills |
| Salary Range: | Per BISD Salary Schedule, pro-rated for the remainder of the year. |
