| Qualifications: | Qualifications include: Bachelors degree from accredited university; Valid Texas teaching certification with required endorsements or training for subject and level assigned; ESL certification preferred; Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned; Experienced preferred Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of core academic subject assigned; Knowledge of curriculum and instruction; Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior; Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Knowledge of special needs of students in assigned area Knowledge of Admission, Review and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation Knowledge of how to adapt curriculum and instruction for special needs |
