Description/Notes: The LSSP assists schools in the development of appropriate educational programs for students by conducting full and individual evaluations, providing direct counseling and social skills instruction, and participating in ARD meetings for students while under the supervision of a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and enrollment in an approved Master's Degree University training program, with established readiness for an enrollment in the University's designated internship experience course.
Curriculum and academic training leading to Licensure by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychologist as an LSSP.
Practicum experience in schools preferred.
Require skills in technical report writing and in developing interpersonal relationships with professional staff and students.
Requires a broad range of knowledge of behavioral intervention techniques.
Must be able to effectively communicate information and ideas verbally and in writing.

Interns are required to be involved in a Master's Degree Program of Psychology and enrolled in a supervision course.
LSSP licensure requires 1,200 hours of Internship. Experience will be acquired onsite with LSSP supervision.
Salary Range: The position is paid on the Administrative/Professional Salary Structure with a minimal salary of $52,249.00, with additional compensation considered based on experience.
