| Description/Notes: | PRIMARY PURPOSE: Serve as the District representative in planning and developing facilities and new construction; and budgeting and scheduling for new construction, renovation and major repairs on existing facilities. Ensure compliance with all planning and zoning requirements. SUPERVISES: Facility planning staff WORKING CONDITIONS: Mental Demands/ Physical Demands/Environmental Factors: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; sit; use hands for fine manipulation, handle or feel and reach with hands and arms using a keyboard and video display terminal. The employee is occasionally required to stand and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl and climb stairs. The employee must maintain emotional control under stress, and occasionally work prolonged and/or irregular hours. Frequent district-wide travel is also required. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Work outside and inside, work around machinery with moving parts; work around moving objects or vehicles; exposure to dampness and humidity; exposure to slippery and uneven surfaces. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate, but occasionally will be excessive. Essential Functions: 1. Coordinate and oversee construction projects for the district. 2. Serve as liaison to architects, engineers, and consultants to develop, review, and finalize project plans, drawings, schematics, and specifications. 3. Consult with city, county, state, and federal officials to ensure conformity with codes and ordinances regulating district construction projects. 4. Participate in the prequalification or approval process for architects, engineers, and contractors. 5. Conduct on-site inspection of construction projects to ensure conformance with construction documents, programs, and needs. 6. Inspect existing facilities and make recommendations for improvements as needed. 7. Establish and recommend priorities for repair projects. 8. Develop and maintain construction progress schedules. 9. Coordinate and conduct project development and construction progress meetings with internal and external stakeholders. 10. Expedite documentation and completion of punch-list items. 11. Coordinate transition of building operation from general contractor to district upon acceptance of a facility. 12. Supervise warranty correction work. 13. Complete periodic reports of construction project progress and make presentations to the board. 14. Coordinate the storage and handling of construction documents. 15. Record and report all warranty times and make final warranty check prior to end of warranty periods. 16. Compile, maintain, and file all physical and computerized reports, records, and other documents required. 17. Review estimated cost of construction and repair projects, including labor, materials, and other related costs. 18. Assist with the preparation of bidding documents, including notice and instructions to bidders, drawings, and specifications. 19. Assist with the evaluation of formal bids and make recommendations for the awarding of contracts for school board approval. 20. Ensure that programs are cost-effective and funds are managed wisely. 21. Compile budget and cost estimates based on documented needs. 22. Maintain safety standards in conformance with federal, state, and insurance regulations. |

| Salary Range: | Pay Grade: AP10 Days/Months: 223 Days Salary Minimum: $95,620 |
