Description/Notes: Major Responsibilities and Duties:
Departmental Support
1. Process background checks for all candidates recommended for employment.
2. Upload fingerprint information to TEA for EISD and substitute candidates.
3. Prepare new hire packets.
4. Distribute incoming faxes to HR staff.
5. Retrieve and distribute incoming mail and interoffice mail.
6. Complete verification of employment on current and former employees.
7. Process name/address changes in HR database.
8. Update Frontline system with employee reassignments.

Volunteers
9. Complete criminal background checks and process information.
10. Advise campus designee of volunteer approval status.
11. Coordinate educational program events for all campuses.

Records, Reports, and Correspondence
12. Prepare correspondence, forms, reports and other computer-generated materials as
needed.
13. Prepare recruitment materials for recruiting events.
14. Maintain personnel files. (Filing, pulling of files for audit/general purposes, and
preparing files for archiving.)
15. Assist in all events and training scheduled by department.
16. Monitor department email and distribute appropriately.

Telephone Duties
17. Screen phone calls and provide excellent customer service to callers.
18. Schedule onboarding appointments as requested.

Other
19. Maintain confidentiality of information.
20. Participate in staff development, faculty meetings, and special events as needed.
21. Maintain punctuality in all areas.
22. Maintain a positive attitude.
23. Serve as a positive role model for staff.
24. Other duties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications: Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High school diploma or GED
Bachelors degree preferred

Special Knowledge/Skills:
Ability to interpret and disseminate information to individuals and groups
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in keyboarding and file maintenance
Ability to use personal computer, spreadsheets, databases, and word processing

Experience:
Two years experience in human resources or closely related field
