| Description/Notes: | Direct, manage and lead the districts athletic program; evaluate programs and coaches; manage and oversee the allocated finances provided to each athletic department; lead coaches and develop a professional learning community that will create a coaching community that is unified and working as a team; instruct and coach students and coaches; develop skills and abilities to excel in athletics; instill competitive excellence through comprehensive and varied offerings; encourage students to participate in an extracurricular athletic activity; establish and sustain a program that is systemic and begins developing the students/athletes at an early age; compliance with all federal, state, UIL and local requirements; develop discipline, character, leadership, integrity and a winning attitude in students; foster achievement and support them in future endeavors. ***This position does require the Athletic Director to also teach courses. |
| Qualifications: | This is an administrative position; therefore, a Bachelors degree is required and A Masters degree are preferred. Valid Texas teaching certificate required. Mid-management or educational leadership certification preferred. Must have 3-5 years of coaching experience. Athletic director or administrator experience preferred. Valid Texas commercial drivers license. Must have classroom teaching experience along with Physical Education/Athletics experience. |
