| Description/Notes: | The Wimberley Independent School District (ISD) Board of Trustees is seeking a new superintendent to lead their district. The Board has employed Thompson & Horton LLP to assist them in their search for a new superintendent. Mike Moses and I are honored to have the opportunity to serve the Board. Nestled in the charming community of Wimberley, Texas, the highly rated Wimberley Independent School District offers the best of both worlds to local familiesa small town environment with schools committed to innovation and excellence. The student enrollment is approximately 2,537 students in grades PK, K-12. Wimberley is the geographic center and the aesthetic heart of the Wimberley Valley and is located at the confluence of Cypress Creek and the Blanco River. The natural beauty of the softly winding Blanco River, shaded Cypress Creek, and the stunning views of Lone Man Creek call to artists, retirees and anyone seeking escape from city life. | Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Masters degree in educational administration Valid Texas superintendent certificate or other appropriate certification Special Knowledge/Skills: Thorough knowledge of school law, school finance, and curriculum and instruction Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to implement policy and procedures Ability to interpret data Exceptional organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills Experience: Five years leadership experience in school administration |
| Salary Range: | This is a contractual position with the salary being negotiated with the Board of Trustees, based on experience. |
| Benefits: | The District current offer health insurance through the Texas Teachers Retirement System (TRS), pay $300.00 towards the monthly premium. The District also offers $20,000 of life insurance to all employees at no cost. Numerous supplemental benefits are available to include; vision, dental, additional life insurance, etc. |
