Description/Notes: Responsible for oversight of Athletics, Fine Arts, Accountability and Continuous Improvement, Special Projects, Health Services, Student Services and Special Student Services. Manage RISD Grievance process, Attendance, Enrollment, Overflow, Transfers and Graduation Teams.

Promote the development and acceptance of a sound educational philosophy around district policy and guidelines
Assumes ultimate executive responsibility for programs that produces the desired student success on applicable federal, state, and local accountability measures
Successfully addresses the needs of all special student populations (e.g., gifted/talented, special education, limited English-proficient, fine arts, etc.)
Evaluate current programs for effectiveness and recommend innovations that are research-based and appropriate to student and district needs
Collaboration with Legal Counsel to implement the District's Grievance Process and policies.
Monitor and support attendance and enrollment programming, guidelines, and policies
Allocate financial and human resources that prioritize and support programming
Oversees the preparation and submission of federal and state-required reports and assures compliance with prescribed guidelines and regulations
Collaborate with the all departments to work toward achieving the Districts Visions, Mission, and Goals
Qualifications: Education/Certification
Bachelors and Masters degree in the field of education
Hold Mid-Management, Principal, or Superintendent Certification
Experience:
Significant campus and central level K-12 leadership experience

Special Knowledge and Skills
Ability to implement policies and procedures
Knowledge of Athletics, Fine Arts, Assessment/Accountability and Health Services
Knowledge of Code of Conduct and Student Management guidelines
Knowledge of Special Populations and programming
Knowledge of Enrollment, Attendance and grievance Guidelines and Policy
Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, the school board, or other organizations
Excellent public relations, organizational, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
Ability to define a vision for Athletics, Fine Arts, Health Services and Student Services and Special Student Services Departments
