About You

As an Instructional Designer you will create original course content for school board members, school district administrators, and other audiences. The instructional designer will work with subject matter experts throughout TASB to match members learning needs with an appropriate digital experience.

A Typical Day

Conduct appropriate needs assessments to scope development projects.
Collaborate with subject matter experts across the organization to create customized learning content for our core members.

How Youll Make an Impact

Match learning objectives to appropriate modes of eLearning.
Develop content, scripts, and other resources to support essential learning.
Program interactive eLearning courses.
Ensure training items are Section 508 accessible.
Work independently and manage multiple timelines to keep multiple projects on track.
Monitor SME and user feedback to troubleshoot courses and inform improvements.
Reports to the Director of Curriculum and Instructional Design.
Qualifications: Skills For Success

Bachelors Degree in Instructional Design, Marketing, or other related field required; Masters Degree preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of Instructional Design work experience.
Expertise with eLearning authoring software (e.g., Articulate 360).
Expertise with SCORM and Section 508 Accessibility requirements.
Exceptional project management skills to manage multiple projects at the same time.
Exceptional visual, graphic, and instructional design skills.
Exceptional computer skills in MS Office.
Strong writing skills that account for different audiences.
Excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with diverse members and TASB staff.
Ability to work with ambiguous or moderately complex projects.
Ability to anticipate problems and opportunities, and initiative to follow through independently.
Demonstrated attention to detail and thoroughness in all deliverables and communications.
