| Description/Notes: | The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for delivering enterprise server based solutions for the CISD data communications network and will oversee the administration of the server operations and virtualization environment. This position will assist the Network Engineer in the research, design, development, and implementation of complex information technology projects. This is a hands-on technical position and will be directly involved with the administration, management, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of all network services and devices. |
| Qualifications: | Education, Certification, Soft Skills Prefer college degree in a technology related field Network management experience Excellent written and oral communications skills Ability to prepare and deliver presentations to executive committees Strong organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously along with demands with competing priorities, all while making timely decisions Passionate about technology; self motivated Required Experience 5 years experience or more (preferred) in Windows Server administration, design, implementation, and analysis 3 years experience in a lead system administrator/engineer role responsible for in a large complex network environment Mastery of Active Directory management and group policy administration Demonstrated automation/scripting experience (PowerShell, VBScript, etc.) Ability to troubleshoot complex system configurations and applications Experience with DNS, DHCP, LDAP Experience with web server management Experience with server and desktop virtualization on Vmware servers Experience with monitoring, performance, and capacity planning Experience with backups and disaster recovery Experience with Cybersecurity best practices and implementation strategies Highly Desirable Experience administering UCS servers Experience administering NetApp SAN Experience administering Skyward and other educational data systems Experience managing Veeam Backup Solutions MSSQL and MS Exchange administration |
