| Description/Notes: | Responsible for providing direct and indirect support for elementary, middle, and high school counselors. Responsible for building, enhancing, and maintaining a counseling, college readiness and college-going culture framework for the district. This framework will support capacity building and implementation of the district-wide counseling, college readiness, and college-going culture. Provide direction and support in crisis management, consultation, supervision, training, and coaching to counselors, teachers, administrators, and other campus and district staff. Design counseling and college readiness programs that meet district program goals and objectives for all students. Plan parent, student, and community activities to be implemented at the campuses across the district and coordinate staff development with the Curriculum & Instruction team. |
| Qualifications: | Masters Degree preferred Valid Texas Counseling Certificate or Licensed professional counseling (LPC) or licensed certified social worker (LCSW) preferred Candidate must have the satisfactory outcome of a fingerprinting background check, the nonrefundable fee (approximately $50) paid by the employee. Two to five years working in a related field, within public education Experience with PBIS, Restorative Practices/ Restorative Discipline Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred |
