| Description/Notes: | Responsible for the overall management of the districts curriculum and instruction function for non-core academic subject areas and programs, including but not limited to: CTE, fine arts, LOTE, physical education, blended and virtual learning, advanced academics, STEM, and all other elective courses. Oversee the curriculum and instruction function for SPED, GT, Bilingual, and ELL learners. Lead the strategic planning and implementation of non-core curriculum and instruction programs. Ensure that the development and delivery of non-core curriculum and instructional programs are effective and efficient, incorporate district goals, and support student achievement. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Masters degree in education administration or related field Valid Texas Principals Certificate or equivalent Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to interpret data and evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to implement policy and procedures Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills Variety of experiences analyzing and disaggregating data and student outcomes Experience: Three years of experience as a classroom teacher Three years of experience in instructional leadership roles |
