Description/Notes: | This position is responsible for supervising, developing and facilitating the Districts leadership development programs and supports, particularly for the pipeline development of strong equity focused leaders of campus and central office level positions. Incumbent will work with the Assistant Superintendents and the Office of Human Capital to align strategy, planning, and development with the Districts overall initiatives and objectives mutually supported by the Offices of School Leadership and Office of Academics. The incumbent will be responsible for supervising staff within the Leadership Development department and interfacing with assigned team members in the Office of Human Capital. |
Qualifications: | This position requires a Master's degree in Education from an accredited university or college. A minimum of three (3) years of campus administrative experience including experience as a principal is required. A Texas Principal certification is preferred. This position requires knowledge of educational leadership including local, state and federal rules and regulations. Experience working in a large, urban school district with diverse populations is preferred. Incumbent must be current on innovative leadership development practices and researched-based national models of educational leadership. This position requires the incumbent to have excellent written and oral communication skills. Incumbent must have knowledge and skill in the use of personal computers and related software including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel as well as other computerized applications. Incumbent must be able to display initiative, work independently and function under stress and time requirements. Salary Range: | $103,445 - $134,357 |
