Description/Notes: Job Purpose Summary:
The Director of Talent Experience will support all Human Resources Talent Experience areas through the development and
oversight of control systems to ensure organizational compliance with all federal, state, local laws and District policies. The
incumbent will serve as a strategic partner, aligning District objectives with employees. The incumbent will assess employee
experiences, define critical gaps, and develop integrated strategies to close those gaps. The incumbent will have high skill level
in the design, development and execution of human resource strategies and practices including staffing, learning and
development, performance management and organizational effectiveness and team development.

KEY FUNCTIONS, ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
May be required to perform other related duties as assigned.
Oversight and Support
Drive and oversee all employee relations initiatives
Advise and support employee relations matters to ensure effective management to include investigations, grievances and
performance issues
Develop, interpret and implement policy and procedures regarding Human Resources
Provide assistance, support and recommendations to leaders on various Human Resource related issues and needs that arise,
to include consultation with District legal department when necessary
Keep up to date with current Employee Relations legislation and ensure this updated for the District
Monitor and provide reports on compliance, employee relations and other Human Resource services to ensure that goals are
met
Participate in professional development to maintain current knowledge of Human Resource practices
Provide support and training for district administrators regarding all aspects of employee relations and human resources
management
Review documentation received from administrators and managers regarding employee performance, providing guidance and
assistance as needed
Supervise, direct and train team members in areas of various functional Human Resource areas to include employee relations
and compliance
Confer with administrators and managers regarding employee performance concerns and assist with plans for improvement
and terminations as necessary
Investigate employee complaints as well as concerns regarding employee performance
Assist with conflict resolution involving employees and responding to grievances
Lead in developing and implementing HR processes and improvement plans
Develop, interpret and implement policy and procedures regarding Human Resources
Oversee Employee Handbook, Substitute Handbook and other annual updates as necessary
Assist with the coordination of Board of Trustees agenda items
Assist Executive Director of Talent Experience as needed

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the process of recruiting, screening, interviewing, and hiring of assigned staff
Initiate personnel actions including documentation and termination
Conduct performance appraisals of assigned staff
Address complaints and resolve problems in a timely manner
Monitor and maintain the strategic planning system reporting
Plan, assign and direct work of assigned staff

OTHER SKILLS and ABILITIES REQUIRED
Demonstrated knowledge in project management, including planning work, managing details, keeping multiple tasks/projects
on track, time management, and ensuring delivery of outstanding results
Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing, with the ability to facilitate and present in both large and small
group settings
Excellent consulting and customer service skills
Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment, influencing without formal authority
Qualifications: Required: Master's Degree
Details: In Human Resources Management, Business Management, Education or related field
Preferred: Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SHRM) Certification

Required: Minimum of 5 years of combined work experience in the areas of Employee Relations, HR Operations and HR Business Partners
Salary Range: Pay Grade 208
