| Description/Notes: | : The ARD Facilitator is responsible for coordination, planning, and preparation of compliance documents for students eligible for Special Education services. The ARD facilitator is primarily responsible for chairing ARD meetings, to provide leadership, assistance in placement procedures, assistance in individual educational planning, and to consult with the instructional staff in regular and special education. In addition, the ARD Facilitator will coordinate, schedule, and participate in ARD meetings to ensure timeline requirements for annual dates are met. Responsibilities will also include ensuring all elements required to be addressed and documented are accomplished, and that parents and others receive relevant sections of the IEP. The Transition Coordinator assists students with disabilities and their families in obtaining services necessary to transition from high school to a post-secondary setting, whether for post-secondary education, employment, or long-term support. |
| Qualifications: | • Minimum of three years teaching experience • Knowledge of eSped preferred • Knowledge of special education assessment processes preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education preferred |
