Campus Description: Rochelle ISD is home to a 4-Day school week starting this upcoming year! Rochelle School is a PreK-12 1A school in central Texas (a 10 minute drive from Brady, Texas). Our total enrollment is a little less than 200 students annually; class sizes average around 15 students per grade level. We are a small rural school built on traditional country values.

Description/Notes: Rochelle ISD has an opening for a special education teacher for the 2021-2022 school year. This position comes with coaching duties (either as the head girls basketball coach or as the head girls volleyball coach). Coach duties will extend to all girls sports (including track). Our community strongly supports our programs prides itself on academic and extracurricular achievements. The special education teacher responsibilities include: serving as a resource teacher, helping support inclusion paraprofessionals, preparing IEPs, helping to facilitate ARDs, managing inclusion logs and paperwork, and helping to engage families of special education students.

This position may be tied with a girl's coordinator title depending on experience. Girls' coordinator is over the day-to-day operations in the girl's program and will report directly to the athletic director. Other duties for the girls' coordinator include workout schedules, scheduling games, scheduling refs, ordering program equipment and lining up meals on game days. The girls' coordinator will report to the athletic director.
Qualifications: State Certification is required for the position; applicants for special education must be fully certified in the state of Texas. We are seeking a motivated teacher that is ready to continue helping our students grow and add to the gains they have experienced over the last several years.

Interested candidates should be energetic, have an understanding of the weight room, have a strong classroom management plan, and an interest to be involved in the community.
Salary Range: Our district salary schedule is competitive and includes competitive stipends. Our district is also received approval for our Teacher Incentive Allotment plan from TEA which rewards teachers financially for their efforts in the classroom.
Benefits: Aside from the opportunity to receive stipends, the district pays $225 toward insurance, offers $500 for 20+ year veteran teachers, the possibility of a distinction Christmas Bonus, air-medical family coverage, and an inexpensive school employee daycare.
