Position Summary:

Responsible for ensuring 100% compliance for receipt of all required documents for all special education students enrolled full time in the Texas Virtual Academy.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Creates and maintains special education records, through applicable systems, both electronically and printed
Assists the Special Education Enrollment Team by scanning enrollment documents and creating new students files
Provides administrative support to ARD facilitators and special education teachers
Creates and mails ARD notices and ARD documents to parents
Documents and audits progress/completion of scheduled ARD meetings
Processes documents from concluded meetings both electronically and printed
Establishes and maintains secure access to student records
Maintains accurate filing of documents into secured paper files
Ensures compliance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA)
Attend SPED team meetings as needed

Qualifications: Qualifications:

Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent


Two years of office experience with a focus on recordkeeping with experience in maintenance of student records in a public school environment (preferred)

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Possess a passion for students, especially students with disabilities
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer skills to implement multiple and diverse programs
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships
Salary Range: 15/hr - 17/hr / Per Hour
