| Description/Notes: | Provide overall leadership and direction for the development, planning, programming and implementation of supports and services for students in the programs contained within the special services department. Significant communication with campus administrators will be expected in order to implement instructional and behavioral services to students and to monitor and oversee any supports needed on the campus to address the needs. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification/Licensure Master’s degree in education from an accredited college or university Valid Special Education certificate preferred Texas mid-management/principal or other appropriate Texas Certification State Appraisal System training certification Special Knowledge/Skills Knowledge of special education/504 laws to maintain district-wide compliance Knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to coordinate district functions Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data Strong communication, public rations, and interpersonal skills Ability to think critically and systematically problem solve Experience Three years teaching in a special services classrooms preferred Campus administrator or district special services experience preferred |
