We are looking for a high school principal to begin for the 2026-2027 school year and grow with us to open our new high school.<br /> <br /> Royal ISD is a fast-growth district with 6 campuses located approximately 8 miles west of Katy (Houston area). The district currently has 3,100 students and is expected to grow to 9,000-11,000 students in the next 5-7 years. The district will be opening the 7th campus (a new 3,000 student high school) during the 2028-2029 school year. | Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree Master’s degree in educational administration Texas principal or other appropriate Texas certificate (Required) T-TESS appraiser (including AEL) Special Knowledge/Skills: Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction Knowledge of dual language programs Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to coordinate campus functions Ability to implement policy and procedures Ability to interpret data Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills Bilingual preferred Experience: 3 years experience as a classroom teacher (required) 3 years experience as secondary assistant principal and/or principal role with at least 2 of those years being at the high school level (required) |
