Experience:
At least 3 years’ CTE classroom teaching experience and/ or CTE administrator experience required.

The primary role of the Director of Career & Technical Education/College Career Military Readiness is to lead and support efforts to prepare all students in Royal ISD to be Future-Ready, and to oversee CCMR accountability indicators. In collaboration with district staff and teams, the Director will work to ensure that results are accurate in reflecting the progress of our students and promote best practices in order for students and the district to reach goals towards graduation, college, & career preparation. Work cooperatively with teachers, fellow district administrators, community partners, and local CTE Advisory Committees to implement and manage the Career & Technical Education program at Royal ISD. Duties will be conducted within the framework, goals, and policy established by local, state, and federal statutes.
Qualifications: Design and administer a comprehensive program of Career and Technical Education through a close working relationship with the assistant superintendent, campus principals, assistant principals and other campus/district instructional leaders.
Develop a working relationship with community and area business owners; industry leaders; labor organizations; and post-secondary education/training centers.
Evaluate Royal ISD Career and Technical Education programs annually to achieve the goal of providing opportunities for students to prepare for gainful post-secondary employment.
Remain current in knowledge of state and federal laws/rules pertaining to Career and Technical Education by attending regional/state workshops and meetings.

Apply and obtain state and federal funds for Career and Technical Education programs. Complete forms and reports required by the Texas Education Agency and other funding entities in a timely manner.
Prepare and administer the Career and Technical Education departmental annual budget.
Assist in the design of new and/or modification of facilities for Career and Technical Education programs.
Serve as liaison between campuses and PEIMS department to insure accuracy of data reporting.

Conduct annual evaluations of Career and Technical Education staff through the T-TESS system, or equivalent instrument.
Organize and implement a district-wide Career and Technical Education program advisory committee composed of local and area business owners, and industry representatives.
Demonstrate the value of public awareness of Career and Technical Education program areas through a variety of media sources (newsletters, fliers, website, surveys, etc).
Responsible for recruiting, hiring and supporting all district Career and Technical Education staff members.
Coordinate CCMR-related assessments, industry-based certifications, etc. and track student progress in meeting CCMR.
District oversight of CCMR indicators for state accountability; responsible for leading the tracking of district CCMR progress, collaborating with staff and ensuring the district goals are met.
Lead on recommendations for CCMR progress, staying up-to-date with industry-based certifications, and maximizing information, weights, etc. for CCMR funding.
Lead on district CTE events including, but not limited to, district hosted events, shows for students.
Oversee and coordinate the Career and Technical Education Program, including the exploration and development of innovative programs that improve student success.
Work directly with instructional leaders to review the selection of instructional materials and inform the instructional programs in CTE/CCMR; use district data to inform instruction.
Contact outside agencies, community, businesses, etc. to facilitate student opportunities for learning, growth, and job skills related to CTE/CCMR.
District oversight of CTE and CCMR at junior high and high school level.
Lead career and technical program development, including course offerings/pathways, industry-based certifications, practicums, and partnerships.
Ensures processes are in place to provide assistance to students making career choices.
Establish and maintain positive partnerships and open communication with parents, students, campus administrators, outside agencies, community, colleagues, and supervisors.
Use effective verbal and written communication skills to present information accurately and clearly.
Lead and support parent and community meetings/training related to the assigned program areas.

Salary Range: Salary:$83,022 to $118,244
