Description/Notes: | Primary Purpose: Coordinate the state testing programs, including all state assessments (STAAR, STAAR-EOC, STAAR Alt-2, TELPAS, and TELPAS Alt) Major Responsibilities and Duties: Coordinate administration of state/national student testing programs and ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and system requirements are strictly followed, managed, and enforced Coordinate delivery of online state assessments with the Data & Technology department Manage the maintenance of student testing records in various online state and national assessment systems (Texas Assessment Management, TestHound, and The College Board) and administration of Credit-by-Exams Monitor state and federal guidelines that can affect reporting of student information in assessment and accountability-related program areas Compile clear, accurate, and precise reports of national and state test results Train district and campus personnel in the implementation of state/national assessment programs, including principals, campus testing coordinators, diagnosticians, ARD/504/LPAC facilitators, counselors, special program and district staff Attend testing coordinator training provided by the educational service center, Texas Education Agency, The College Board, and other entities Investigate, document, and report testing incidents to TEA Student Assessment Division Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as needed basis |
Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree required Texas Teaching Certification required Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of state-mandated assessments and accountability system standards Ability to multi-task numerous complex administrative activities Excellent public relations, organization, communication, and interpersonal skills Preferred Experience: Three (3) or more years of experience with test coordination at the campus or district level Administrative experience in working with special population and/or at-risk programs |
Salary Range: | 85,749 - 120,056 |
