Description/Notes: | This position includes the coordination and pathway implementation management across three districts in the Big Bend (Alpine ISD, Marfa ISD, and Marathon ISD) and institutions of higher education. The BB-RISE plans to reimagine college and career pathways by partnering in a more deliberate and coherent way to ensure high quality programming is available to all students in the region. To support this program, the BB-RISE is seeking a candidate who is both prepared and excited to serve as the key point of contact and leader for this work. Ideally, we are seeking candidates who possess a background in education, leadership work based learning, community engagement and/or academic advising. This position will be employed by Alpine ISD but will serve all of the districts and higher education partners mentioned above, as well as coordinate with participating industry and community leaders. This is a full-time position that will work year-round, and includes the planning, implementation support, and management of shared pathways across the region. |
Qualifications: | Principal or administrator certification Experience as a campus, district or central office leader Understanding of academic advising and counseling practices Understanding of college/career pathways, CTE, P-TECH, and dual credit/concurrent enrollment Background work in diversity, equity, and inclusion in education or other field |
Salary Range: | Salary range for this role is commensurate with experience, with full benefits included. This position is TRS eligible. This position will report directly to the EPPB Executive Director and the Alpine ISD Superintendent. This position is currently funded through May 2026. While we anticipate securing additional funding to extend the position beyond this period, it is contingent upon future grants and budget approvals. |
