The Executive Director will provide direct leadership to each assigned principal and support the goals of their campuses.
Position Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Instructional Leadership and School Management

Coach principals to support student achievement goals of the assigned campuses. Assist in developing appropriate strategic goals and objectives aligned with the FBISD overall strategic vision, mission, goals and objectives.
Assist the principal with administrative and instructional leadership for the campus
Review and continuously provide feedback on the Campus Improvement Plan each year.
Demonstrate thorough understanding of state and federal accountability systems
Oversee the development and implementation of campus specific-staff development
Oversee and monitor a structured discipline management plan.
Works directly with principals to create high-quality instructional programs and other services for students
Monitors the scheduling of required assessment, administration of assessments, and disaggregating of standardized test data for principals to positively impact student performance
Communicate the District’s policies, goals and guidelines to assigned principals
Supports district and campus rules of conduct

School/Community Relations

Monitor campus data, including but not limited to enrollment, staffing, student and teacher attendance, retention rates, discipline, class size, and extracurricular activities
Analyze and interpret available data to address needs of multiple schools and communities
Communicate effectively with students, staff, parents and other system administrators to share information, develop plans, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive culture and climate at multiple campuses
Assist principal in establishing techniques to ensure parent and community involvement
Effectively communicates district policies, goals, and guidelines to principals
Ensures assigned schools comply with all policies, laws, and procedures or requests waivers when applicable
Emphasize and nurture two-way communication between the school and community
Works with appropriate staff in the development and review of a student handbook

Personnel Management

Interview, select, evaluate, and grow high quality school administrators
Assist campus leadership to identify improvements on campuses that will increase employee engagement
Assist campus leadership with coaching and the development of staff
Recommend to the Assistant Superintendent decisions regarding termination, suspension, transfer, promotion, renewal or non-renewal of administrators assigned to the campus
Define expectations for administrative performance regarding instructional strategies, classroom management and communication with the public and various stakeholders

Fiscal, Administrative and Facility Management

Assist principal with expenditures, maintenance of fiscal control based on documented program needs, and accurately report financial information
Manage the use of and coordinate the maintenance of school facilities and grounds to ensure a clean, orderly and safe learning environment
Assists principals with resource allocations and staffing considerations that allow schools to excel instructionally and ensure attainment of the school district’s vision

Supervisory Responsibilities

Carries out supervisory responsibilities for administrators of the assigned campuses in accordance with the District’s policies and applicable laws
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees
Planning, assigning and directing work
Appraising performance of employees
Rewarding and disciplining employees
Addressing complaints and resolving problems

Additional Information

Travel may be required to attend district and/or state meetings and conferences and school-related events.

Qualifications:
Master's degree
Valid Texas Mid-Management or Principal Certification
Advancing Educational Leadership (AEL) certificate or its equivalent Instructional Leadership Development (ILD or ILT) Must be obtained within 3 months of start date as designated by the Department of School Leadership
Board Approved T-TESS Certification Must be obtained with 3 months of start date as designated by the Department of School Leadership
T-PESS Certification Must be obtained with 3 months of start date as designated by the Department of School Leadership
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a campus principal or a combination of campus principal (minimum of one year) and organizational leadership experience to equal a minimum total of three years of experience
Minimum of 2 years of successful classroom teaching experience
Possesses a moral and ethical compass
Demonstrates a heart and passion for leadership
Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction
Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness
Ability to manage personnel
Ability to coordinate campus functions
Ability to implement policy and procedures
Ability to interpret data
Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills
Salary Range: $138,754 - $197,031
