| Description/Notes: | Hawkins ISD seeks an innovative, student-driven leader for Superintendent of Schools beginning January 20, 2025. Hawkins has approximately 800 students and 140 employees, serving grades pre-kindergarten through twelfth grade. The district covers 158 square miles, located in scenic Wood County, Texas. Hawkins ISD boasts rigorous and engaging academic, extra-curricular, and athletic offerings for all students. Hawkins ISD aspires to provide our students the best educational experience of any East Texas school district. | Qualifications: | Job Requirements: ● Masters Degree in educational administration from an accredited college or university ● Valid Texas Superintendent Certificate ● Five years of leadership in school administration in a Texas school district Board of Trustee Expectations for the New Superintendent: ● Experience in school leadership, preferably in a Superintendent or central office role ● A leader with great communication skills who will foster collaboration ● A vision for enhancing CTE & Extra-curricular programs to provide meaningful experiences and opportunities for students ● Committed to establishing a presence in the community and in the district ● A drive to continue the progress of Hawkins ISD |
