| Description/Notes: | The Director of Communications, Engagement, and Development provides strategic leadership for all district communications, community engagement, and external funding efforts in alignment with Kingsville ISD’s mission, vision, and priorities. This role ensures clear, accurate, and transparent communication with all stakeholders while strengthening public trust, promoting district initiatives, and supporting student achievement. The Director serves as the District’s Public Information Officer, leading media relations, crisis communications, and public information compliance, including adherence to the Texas Public Information Act. Additionally, the Director cultivates partnerships, leads community engagement efforts, and secures external resources through grants, donations, and strategic partnerships to advance district goals. Through effective communication systems, brand management, and stakeholder collaboration, this position connects internal and external audiences, elevates the district’s profile, and supports organizational coherence, ensuring all communication and engagement efforts contribute to improved student outcomes. |
| Qualifications: | Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree required; Master degree in Curriculum & Instruction, Educational Leadership, or a related field preferred. Valid Texas teaching certificate required; Texas principal or mid-management certification preferred. Minimum of three (3) years of successful teaching experience and three (3) years of instructional leadership experience (e.g., instructional coach, assistant principal, principal, or district-level leader). Demonstrated experience in grant writing, program development, and/or innovation initiatives preferred. |
| Salary Range: | $83,027 to $100,032 Per Year |
