| Description/Notes: | Facilitate the effective use of educational technology in district-wide instructional programs. Assist in the development of short- and long-range plans for the integration of technology into the instructional program. Implement and coordinate the technology staff development and training program. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Valid Texas Teaching Certificate Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in educational technology preferred Texas SBEC certification in computers/technology preferred Administrative or Mid-Management Certification preferred Special Knowledge/Skills: • Strong organizational, communication, motivational, and interpersonal skills • Demonstrate leadership ability in working with other administrators, teachers, students, parents, and the general public • Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data • Ability to manage budget and personnel • Ability to do strategic and long-range planning • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills • Successful experience in planning and managing a large technology budget with knowledge and experience in controlling technology costs • Knowledge of STAAR data analysis information • Knowledge of PEIMS and demographic information • Knowledge of technologies available for use in instructional settings • Knowledge of curriculum design and implementation • Ability to develop and deliver technology training to adult learners Experience: Three years of administrative experience Three years of teaching adult learners Five years of teaching experience |
