Kennedy High School is an experienced, instructionally focused, system-oriented leader who can build a culture of high expectations and achievement with staff and students. The principal can develop the leadership team to high levels of performance, improve instructional practices, and implement systems of support for students to achieve high levels. The principal understands and effectively implements the critical levers of the Effective Schools Framework to provide a clear vision of success with all stakeholders and can effectively manage the various demands associated with the principalship of a comprehensive high school. |
| Qualifications: | Master’s degree in educational administration Valid Texas Mid-Management or Principal’s Certificate Advanced Education Leadership (AEL) certification, Instructional Leadership Training (ILT), or Instructional Leadership Development (ILD), certification preferred T-TESS (Texas Teacher Evaluation and Support System) Appraiser Certificate Three years as Principal/Associate Principal experience required Three years of classroom teaching experience Three years of experience in an administrative/instructional leadership role |
| Salary Range: | 12 months/ 226 days per year. Salary is at Administrative Program Pay Grade AP10 on the EISD Compensation Plan on a term or probationary contract, as applicable. The annual salary range is $106,448-$139,675 based upon directly related experience. |
