Description/Notes: CENTER RESPONSIBILITIES
● Processes all personal timekeeping, travel reporting and other paperwork in a timely manner

DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
● Provide training on effective teaching practices and assistance in the selection and use of instructional resources.
● Provide workshops in generating new or adapting grades 6-12 Reading Language Arts strategies or existing curriculum documents.
● Provide appropriate training on the Texas Essential of Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for Grades 6-12 RLA and any corresponding technology application TEKS in preparation for the state mandated assessments.
● Provide technical assistance to districts.
● Analyze data and provide appropriate interventions, strategies, and enrichment as determined from STAAR/EOC, SAT, ACT, TSIA 2 and local assessment data for grades 6-12 RLA.
● Provide professional development for the integration of technology into the curriculum.
● Develop and maintain partnerships with the Texas Education Agency (TEA), and other relevant professional organizations.
● Travel (meaning to drive one’s own vehicle) to and from LEA's to fulfill program and project specific objectives is required. Out of region travel may also be required.
● Coordinate and deliver effective training, staff development, and technical assistance in areas pertinent to the program or project
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
● Up to 226 working days
● This is an at-will employment position.
● In the event of an economic slump, a reduction-in-force may be necessary. Employees will be notified in writing.
Qualifications: ● Bachelor and Master’s degree in Education with experience as Campus Principal
● Valid Texas Teacher’s Certificate
● Valid Principal Certificate
● 5 Years of teaching experience
● Knowledge of effective research: change process, systems thinking, organizational culture and adult learners
● Ability to plan, implement, deliver, and sustain professional development for teachers and instructional leaders
● Advanced knowledge of curriculum practices, instruction, assessment, school improvement, and organizational culture
● Knowledge of federal and state accountability programs
● Knowledge of performance-based monitoring requirements
● Recommended by the ESC Executive Director
Salary Range: STARTING-$82,143.
