Description/Notes: Primary Purpose:

Plans, implements, and evaluates a comprehensive school counseling program at assigned campus. Counsel students to fully develop each student’s academic, career, personal, and social abilities and address the needs of special population students. Deliver guidance curriculum in various group sizes. Educate students on skills necessary to address troublesome circumstances, support students in challenging situations, and assist students with needed resources to navigate crisis situations.

Qualifications: School Counselor:
Master’s degree in counseling
Valid Texas School Counselor Certificate required for school counselor
Two (2) or more years of teaching experience
Teaching experience on a K-12 campus preferred

Student Assistance Counselor (SAC):
Master’s degree
LPC, LPC-Associate, LMSW/LCSW, LMFT, LMFT-Associate or Professional School Counselor Certification.

Three (3) years related substance abuse and/or mental health counseling experience preferred
Crisis and case management experience
Salary Range: 187 Days - $61,072 Minimum (SAC-Elementary)
192 Days - $62,705 Minimum (School Counselor - Elementary)
197 Days - $64,338 Minimum (SAC - Secondary)
206 Days - $67,278 Minimum (School Counselor - Secondary)
