| Description/Notes: | Primary Purpose Assist the executive director of special services to ensure provision of required services for students with disabilities; work to ensure individualized education plans to meet the needs of all students and ensure compliance with all state, federal, and local requirements. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification/Licensure Master’s degree from an accredited college or university Valid Texas teaching certificate Special education endorsement preferred Valid Texas mid-management/principal preferred T-TESS Appraiser Certification Special Knowledge/Skills Effective communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills Knowledge and understanding of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) In-depth knowledge of curriculum and instruction Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and data Ability to coordinate district functions Ability to manage budget and personnel Strong organizational skills Understanding of the individual needs of students with disabilities Experience Minimum of 3 - 5 years’ experience in teaching and/or assessment in special education Previous campus or district-wide leadership experience preferred |
