The Board of Trustees of Walnut Bend Independent School District is searching for an exceptionally qualified administrator to lead this quality, highly successful school district upon the retirement of Ken Kemp our current superintendent.

Application Process

All qualified administrators are encouraged to apply. Administrators not interested in the position are encouraged to nominate other qualified persons who may be interested. Deadline for application is October 14th, 2024.

All applicants wishing to be considered for the position should submit the following documents:

3. Up-to-date resume that includes the candidate’s education, position of employment, and dates of service in each position.
4. Transcripts verifying academic degrees
5. Copy of all current Texas Credentials.

An experienced financial manager who understands Texas school finance, how to maximize the district’s resources and tap alternative sources of funding.

Has had proven success in implementing instructional technology and innovative strategies in today’s classroom.

An effective problem solver who actively solicits input from those involved reviews the facts, makes the tough decisions and supports those decisions with resources and personal commitment.

Has a proven track record of discipline, school security and safety.

Has the ability to multitask and deal head on with the multiple challenges faced in a small school environment.
