| Description/Notes: | Primary Purpose: Develops and directs all law enforcement and security plans and safety programs for the district; organizes and directs personnel to provide security and protective services for staff, students and district property. |
| Qualifications: | Associate’s degree in occupational safety or bachelor’s degree in any field or equivalent experience Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety Technologist (OHST) preferred Valid Texas driver’s license Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of health and safety programs and applicable laws Ability to interpret and disseminate information to individuals and groups Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets and perform data analysis Ability to provide effective safety training programs Ability to apply principles of measurement and analysis to evaluate safety performance Effective communication and interpersonal skills Experience: Two years’ experience in safety management, occupational safety and health, or related field |
