Description/Notes: Evaluates, implements, and maintains the Burnet CISD enterprise through domain and system administration, network security and services, server monitoring, and security protection. Maintains the secure and accurate transmission of data through the district and between district and vendor systems.
Qualifications: Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
Clear and valid Texas driver’s license

Special Knowledge/Skills:
• Knowledge of Student Information Systems (SIS) Data Reporting, back-end troubleshooting - Skyward preferred
• Knowledge of basic SQL and scripting languages (Powershell, Python, Bash, etc.)
• Experience with software support/migration
• Experience with Windows and Linux server support
• Experience with Microsoft SCCM
• Experience managing virtualized server infrastructure - VMWare preferred
• Experience managing Active Directory and Google GSuite
• Strong technical background with Windows and Chrome devices
• Ability to develop and maintain systems documentation and technical assistance manuals
• Ability to detect and resolve problems in application software
• Understanding of school business functions including but not limited to: Human Resources, Payroll, Fund-Based Accounting, Purchasing, and Accounts Payable
• Ability to be flexible, organized and meet strict deadlines
• Self-motivated with ability to work unsupervised
• Detail oriented
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good technical writing and documentation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Experience conducting training
• Experience using office applications
• Experience developing reports with a variety of reporting packages
• Experience supporting users on enterprise software applications systems and student information systems
• Experience working with software vendors to troubleshoot and solve issues

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Participate in technology incident response
2. Manage Directory Services (Microsoft Active Directory, GSuite)
3. Manage the district Internet filter
4. Support the district's use of Microsoft SCCM
5. Support data integration between the SIS and vendor systems
6. Troubleshoot issues with Skyward data reporting
7. Provide support and perform maintenance on Windows and Linux servers
8. Plans and supervises installation, development, and enhancement of systems and diagnoses hardware and software problems.
9. Support PC Technicians with technical issues and provide training on new software/systems as needed
10. Gather business requirements, define technical scope, and help create project plan and technical documentation
11. Comply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule and local board policy
12. Perform other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $54,023-$76,153
