Description/Notes: Position Summary:



To develop, oversee, and coordinate the provision of vocational training for students leading to employable skill acquisition and certification/licensure through coursework instruction, on-the-job work experience and/or internships and job placement assistance, and promote the CTE programs to the region and surrounding areas of ResponsiveEd’s operations.



Qualifications:



Education/Certification



Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree (preferred)
CTE certification


Experience

5+ years’ successful Career and Technical Education or work experience
2+ years’ of successful experience in administration
Experience in supervisory, public relations, budget preparations, fiscal responsibility, business planning, marketing, and leadership skills
Detail oriented specific to planning, organization and fiscal management


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)



Develop new CTE programs per district-wide interest in alignment to TEA CTE Programs of Study and Industry-Based Certifications.
Assure all courses are in compliance with CTE standards.
Work with Campus Director to ensure students have access to information on available CTE paths unique to their school.
Monitor present course offerings for applicability to future job markets and plan for new courses, aligned to CTE TEKS.
Maintain close working relationships with community and state agencies and area businesses, industries and labor organizations in order to provide training consistent with their needs and the needs of our students.
Support Campus Director in marketing CTE opportunities and recruiting students for the CTE participation.
Advise and assist in obtaining state and federal grants for vocational and technical education programs.
Support Campus Director's supervision of all CTE employees and review evaluations of personnel in the program when necessary.
Arrange and direct in-service/professional development education for CTE personnel and district staff.
Prepare and administer the CTE budget.
Make recommendations for long-term adjustments, changes, additions, and deletions in the vocational program to meet changing job trends and labor market needs.
Assist in the recruitment and screening of CTE personnel, when necessary.
Travel as needed.
All other related duties as assigned.
