The Assistant Campus Director assists the Campus Director by positively impacting the lives of students while enjoying a fast-paced, exciting work environment. With support, the Assistant Campus Director leads, supervises, coordinates and manages the school program. The Assistant Campus Director assists with student discipline and the supervision and mentoring of staff to ensure the growth of top performers. With the Campus Director, the Assistant Campus Director will share the responsibility of implementing ResponsiveEd’s mission to create a classroom environment that provides hope for students and where students are academically successful and develop into lifelong learners. The Assistant Campus Director will also share the responsibility of fulfilling the Campus Director’s mission to lead a high performing online school which earns top rankings in the state accountability system. The Assistant Campus Director provides leadership in planning and evaluating instructional delivery ensuring classrooms have a learner-centered authentic approach. The Assistant Campus Director prepares and presents professional development as needed which may include using terminology or concepts staff is not familiar with. The Assistant Campus Director is constantly striving to improve their skills.



Education, Certification, and Experience:

Bachelor's degree from a four-year accredited College or University, Master's degree (preferred)
Possesses a Current Texas Teaching Certification with four years teaching experience (preferred)
Possesses a Texas principal certificate (preferred)
3+ years of experience working with administrative leadership, clients and/or stakeholders, and/or education personnel related to school improvement, facilitation of learning, or related educational interests
3+ years of experience in supervising a staff of 15 or more
3+ years of experience in managing budgets
5+ years of experience in state testing


Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):

Advanced knowledge of federal and state education laws
Proficient computer skills and comfort with technology are necessary as the virtual classroom requires the integration of seamlessly transitioning from multiple platforms and programs
Strong organizational, time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
Exudes confidence with complex problem solving
Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with students, parents, teachers, the community, administrative staff, and Regional Director.
Ability to communicate with all levels of students, their parents, teachers, the community, peers, administrative staff, superintendent, and corporate staff.
Ability to interpret policy, procedures, and student data such as diagnostic test results, state assessments scoring, transcripts, and grade point average.
Exhibits passion and excitement over work
Expects staff performance to be nothing short of his/her best work
Ability to produce significant output with minimal wasted effort
Acts without being told what to do and brings new ideas to the faculty
Demonstrates the ability to quickly and proficiently understand and absorb new information

Duties and Responsibilities:



Remain current in leadership, change theory, curriculum, instruction, assessment, and professional learning high yield practices through research and literature in the areas of innovative organizational strategies
Prepare weekly communication with students and staff members regarding upcoming events or changes in policy
Directly supervises employees in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws
Ensures department milestones and school goals are met
Assist in determining staff vacancies and interview, hire, and train employees
Conduct focus groups and campus improvement committees (including but not limited to, students, parents, and teachers) to obtain critical feedback necessary for informing and evaluating the success of implemented learning initiatives
Appraises the performance of staff, rewards and disciplines employees according to iSchool Virtual Academy’s policies and procedures, and addresses and resolves complaints and problems
Promotes and encourage the success of every student by advocating, nurturing, and sustaining a school culture and instructional program conducive to student learning and staff professional growth
Explain and interpret district-wide curriculum/instructional goals and objectives to teachers, parents, pupils, and the community
Develops and evaluates the educational program to ensure conformance to state and school board standards
Develops and coordinates educational programs through meetings with staff, review of teachers' activities, and issuance of directives
Performs all other duties as assigned

General Office Equipment that includes a computer, copy machine, scanner, etc.
All equipment required to perform job duties and tasks previously described.
Various applications that include, but are not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, G-Mail, AppliDesk, eSped, Buzz, Google Drive Applications, Blackboard Collaborate, Zoom Web Conferencing, USA Test Prep, etc.
