Description/Notes: Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develop and/or facilitate staff development related to effective classroom
management strategies and positive behavior intervention to increase successful implementation
2. Develop and/or facilitate staff development related to PBIS to increase successful implementation
3. Develop and/or facilitate staff development related to Student Support Plans
(general education behavior improvement plans) to increase successful implementation
4. Develop and/or facilitate staff development related to de-escalation strategies to
increase successful implementation
5. Consult with teachers regarding classroom management through observations,
coaching, and feedback
6. Assist with the development and revisions of training materials
7. Provide on-campus assistance with disruptive students
8. Assist with coordinating and analyzing student discipline data to monitor student
progress, including providing assistance to campuses in developing action plans
9. Model effective classroom management strategies
10. Maintain accurate records related to job duties
11. Train staff in the school to assist with staff development and model teaching
12. Provide follow-up classroom consultation for appropriate implementation
13. Assist with developing behavior plans for students
14. Provide assistance to campuses in developing action plans based on discipline data
15. Develop a written plan of action with teachers who are struggling with classroom
management and/or disruptive students
Qualifications: Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in education or related field
Valid Texas teaching certificate (ACP candidates on a probationary certificate do not qualify)
Minimum of three (3) years successful experience as a classroom teacher with
excellent classroom management
PBIS and Restorative Practices experience preferred
Knowledge and ability to develop the functions of behavior and appropriate interventions
Demonstrated skill in leading, motivating, and cooperating with others
Knowledge and experience in Behavioral Response to Intervention
Attend additional training, as necessary
Knowledge of Special Education preferred
Strong communication skills with adult learners, parents/guardians and
Administration, including presentation skills
Salary Range: Teacher Salary + stipend for additional days/duties
