Campus Description: The Coordinator Intervention and Enrichment–Science (6–12) will be responsible for the overall development, management, and implementation of research based interventions and enrichments, district and campus based Response to Intervention (RtI) programming and procedures, data analysis, and professional development. The incumbent will provide strong leadership in the area of science intervention and enrichment supports to promote the District’s vision for Teaching and Learning.

Curriculum Development
• Lead the design and development of research-based interventions and enrichments to support the written curriculum
• Assist school and district administrators in the implementation of RtI programming
• Collaborate with curriculum team members to create and revise curriculum, assessment, intervention, and enrichment documents
• Support the District’s Teaching and Learning philosophy by modeling the use of intervention and enrichment activities to support the success of all students

Instructional Leadership
• Evaluate the implementation of the curriculum using multiple data points including instructional walk-throughs and assessments
• Design, coordinate and conduct professional learning and presentations for teacher, district personnel, parents, and other stakeholders aligned to best practices for instruction and adult learning
• Plan and coordinate district-wide curriculum events and contests related to the District’s instructional programs
• Facilitate the use of data to determine research-based intervention and enrichment needs and make informed instructional and programmatic decisions that effectively address curricular needs
• Attend state and national conferences and serve on committees to advance best practices in intervention enrichment, and RtI program supports
• Serve as a member of the campus support team to engage in instructional walk-throughs and facilitate campus support structures in collaboration with the campus principal and district leaders

Administrative & Program Management
• Monitor and maintain student achievement data, including data from RtI screeners, and provide regular updates to applicable stakeholders
• Collaborate to develop and administer a budget based on alignment to district priorities and ensure that operations are cost effective and managed wisely
• Develop and/or update required district documents including the District Improvement Plan and District Strategic Plan
• Coordinate the selection and purchase of instructional materials, professional development, products, and services
• Coordinate instructional program components, support needs, and materials for the purpose of meeting student needs while complying with district and/or program guidelines
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local laws and policies
• Coordinate, create and monitor curriculum components, including intervention and enrichment, to ensure alignment to the District’s mission and vision
• Provide leadership and direction to district and campus based instructional personnel to support the implementation and use of the District’s curriculum

• Assist in the process of recruiting, screening, interviewing, and hiring of assigned staff
• Initiate personnel actions including documentation and termination under the guidance of Human Resources
• Conduct performance appraisals of assigned staff
• Address complaints and resolve problems in a timely manner
Qualifications: EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
• Master’s degree
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a classroom teacher
• Minimum of 3 years of experience instructional leadership at the campus or district level
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in facilitating and implementing RtI programming

• Valid Texas Teacher Certification in Secondary Science or Special Education
• Valid Texas Mid-Management Certification or Principal Certification preferred

• Demonstrated knowledge of best practices related to the implementation of district initiatives
• Demonstrated knowledge in planning and implementation of research-based intervention and enrichment supports
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both orally and in writing

Salary Range: $69,443 - $99,930
