Description/Notes: The position works directly under the supervision of the Community Relations Director. Enhance the District’s strategic communication plan through the design, implementation, and management of the district’s website.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Develops and maintains all new and existing web pages on the district website, including department and intranet sites.
2. Oversees the design and maintenance of all campus websites.
3. Maintains the district online staff directory.
4. Performs quality control checks and ensures district website guidelines and policies are met.
5. Assists in researching, writing, and editing content for the site.
6. Provides training and extended support to all campus and department web content managers.
7. Develops and maintains user manuals and documentation for internally trained web software applications.
8. Coordinates online survey software management.
9. Serves as primary contact for all district technical web requests and web-related e-mails.
10. Manages web site logins and access rights.
11. Coordinates with management to plan, implement and evaluate district website tools and strategies.
12. Assists with the planning and implementation of district special events and programs.
13. Attends professional development activities to stay abreast of current trends in web specifications, graphic design, usability, and legal issues.


Special Events
14. Coordinate district-level events including, but not limited to banquets, celebrations, special meetings, and recognition programs
15. Design, prepare and edit district publications for special events.
16. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree Required

Special Knowledge/Skills:
• Administrative experience in planning and launching programs
• Proficient computer and desktop publishing skills
• Knowledge of design and photo software
• Effective organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to meet established deadlines
• Demonstrated ability in developing and publishing web pages utilizing HTML editor/authoring tools and graphic design programs
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
• Ability to detect and solve web-related problems
• Ability to research, plan, execute and evaluate new technology
• Excellent attention to detail, sense of visual design and technical knowledge of internet applications
• Demonstrated skills in writing and editing copy for the web
• Effective organizational and interpersonal skills

Experience:
At least three years related web design/development experience
Salary Range: Admin Pay Group 4
