| Description/Notes: | Direct and manage the district’s bilingual/dual language, English as a Second Language (ESL), migrant and newcomer program. Ensure the development and delivery of the bilingual/dual language, ESL, migrant and newcomer curriculum and instructional program is effective and efficient, incorporates district goals, and supports student achievement. |
| Qualifications: | Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree from accredited university Master’s degree in education administration or bilingual education Valid Texas teaching certificate with endorsement in bilingual education Special Knowledge/Skills: Knowledge of ESL and bilingual education Knowledge of federal and state bilingual and ESL education compliance and requirements Ability to interpret data and evaluate instructional programs and teaching effectiveness Ability to manage budget and personnel Ability to implement policy and procedures Strong communication, public relations, and interpersonal skills Bilingual/Biliterate (Spanish) preferred Experience: Three years experience as a bilingual classroom teacher Three years experience in instructional leadership roles Three years as a campus administrator preferred |
| Salary Range: | Starts at $78,745 |
